BASIC PREREQUISITE BEFORE GOING ABROAD FOR EMPLOYMENT

**PLEASE KEEP 40 TO 45 DAYS BEFORE FINAL DATE**


  • The day you accept offer from the company your planning should get started from that vary moment and tell them 45 days at the most to join.
  • First check your passport for "ECR" status i.e. "Emmigration Check Required" on 1st or 2nd page of your passport. If it is stamped as 'ECR' which is only for those passport holders who are illiterate, this status appears on most of us due to unable to submit educational certificates of matriculation or above for normal person category during passport application process.
  • To delete this 'ECR' status,if you are educated, then apply for re-issue of passport under tatkal if its urgent or under normal process selecting re-issue and then updating personal details and then delete ECR while applying online for re-issue of passport. Make sure you submit proper education certificates and as per new process when you get rid of 'ECR' status there is no stamp on new passport which means you are under 'Non-ECR' category.
  • If its 'ECR' status and still you go to airport with proper Employment Visa issued by the new company from abroad, you will not clear Immigration check and will be offloaded from the airport.
  • Also try to make arrangement for your accommodation in abroad if company is not providing you accommodation.
  • Get the currency of the respective country where you are going for employment and check for the limit to carry currency. Please buy from legal sources and ask for receipt/bill which will help you in other country to declare currency.
